Announced today, subscribers to YouTube TV can now control what they watch with their voice via new support for Google Home.
To lay this out simply, let’s say you have both a Google Home and Chromecast in your house, plus a subscription to YouTube TV. If you know what you want to watch, you can tell Google Home, “Play MSNBC” or “Record Orville.” Just ensure your Google Home and Chromecast are linked via the dedicated Google Home app, available from Google Play.
As a friendly reminder, should you sign up for the free YouTube TV trial, then go on to subscribe for $35/month, Google will send you a free Chromecast, which is a handy gift to have.
Now all we need is a native YouTube TV app for Android TV. Soon, we hope!
