Flickr Acquired by SmugMug, Experience Won’t Change Until May 25

SmugMug announced late last week that is has acquired Flickr, the photo sharing platform owned by Yahoo since 2005.

No terms were revealed, but more importantly, Flickr states that nothing with regard to the user experience will change until next month. However, on May 25, all of Flickr’s user data will be transferred to SmugMug. If you don’t want that to happen to your data, you can opt for it not to via your Flickr account.
